How we handle your data — transparently and responsibly.
Summary: Bitcoin News Office is a static, client-side website. We do not create user accounts, we do not sell your data, and we do not track you beyond standard analytics. Personal information you voluntarily submit through contact and briefing signup forms is processed by the providers described below.

This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry. Contacting us does not subscribe you to briefings. Formspree processes the contact submission to deliver it to the site operator; briefing signup is handled separately by Netlify Forms.
If you expressly sign up for Bitcoin News Office briefings or unusual-signal alerts, Netlify Forms processes your email address, consent selection and the page where you subscribed. We use that information only to operate the requested email service, measure sign-up sources and manage unsubscribes. We do not sell or rent subscriber information. Signup records remain with Netlify Forms until removed by the site operator. You can request removal through our contact form. Submitting a signup request does not itself confirm email delivery.

Optional Google Analytics may set first-party cookies only after you choose Allow analytics. It is not loaded before that choice. Use Privacy settings to change your choice:
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Please note that blocking cookies may affect the functionality of some third-party features.
We use your browser's localStorage (not cookies) to save your preferences locally on your device. This data never leaves your browser and is never sent to any server:

Google Analytics (G-YEHV5XFMX8) is off by default. We load its script only after explicit permission. You may decline without losing calculators or public data access, and change your choice using Privacy settings at the bottom of every page.
If your browser requests Do Not Track, analytics stays off even if a previous permission was saved. There is no initial analytics prompt; you can open Privacy settings at any time. Analytics may receive page paths, device/browser information and network information under Google's privacy policy. We do not describe such data as guaranteed anonymous.
Turning analytics off prevents further collection in this browser and clears accessible analytics cookies; it does not erase data already received by Google. Your choice is stored locally on this browser.
When analytics is allowed, we also count selected actions such as saving or reopening a research view, downloading ETF data or a weekly chart, opening the weekly feed, editing or explicitly comparing a three-choice ETF cost scenario, exporting its CSV, saving or returning to a Bitcoin holding check-in, exporting holding scenarios, and clicking the research-interest link. Our custom events contain fixed action names, not your saved names, email address, form message, investment amounts, selected funds or return assumptions. Page locations set by our tracking code omit query strings and fragments. Clicks are measures of interest, not confirmed subscriptions or purchases.
Bitcoin News Office does not currently load a third-party advertising network. Any future advertising provider will be reviewed before activation and this policy will be updated before its scripts are enabled.
Scheduled collection runs on GitHub Actions and publishes saved public market datasets with this static site on Netlify. Reading those saved datasets does not send your visit to the original market-data provider. Some interactive tools also request fresh quotes or blockchain information directly from your browser; those external requests expose your IP address and request details to the relevant provider. Contact messages and signup records use the separate form services described in this policy.
When your browser makes requests to these APIs, the API providers may log your IP address according to their own privacy policies. We have no control over data collected by these third-party services.
Current tools are calculators and public blockchain lookups. They do not generate wallets, request seed phrases or private keys, or move funds. Never enter recovery words into this website.
Bitcoin News Office is served over HTTPS, ensuring that data transferred between your browser and our site is encrypted in transit.
The site itself serves static pages. Contact messages are processed by Formspree and briefing signup records by Netlify Forms. Optional analytics is processed by Google after permission. These providers store data under their own policies; a static site does not mean no personal information is processed.
Bitcoin News Office is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through our contact form, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
